Alan "Rockstar"
K. 67
Alan is the trouble
maker that got us all hooked on rockcrawling...he is also the one that
started the DeepSouth eb club. he brought his rig to me for some cage mods,
front bumper, limit strap points, and odds /ends
this was
one of my first ss bumpers!! yup, probably 12 yrs ago, lol.. it's been
modified a couple times, but still looks pretty good. well, it's time for
an updated version, that gave more approach angle.
alan wanted
a simple plate style, short and stubby, he plans on bobbing the rig soon,
so this is the direction we chose.it's all 3/16" cold formed a36 steel,
pretty beefy.

we were gonna
just add a bull bar to it, but decided to add a stinger with headlight
rings. added some huge d-ring tabs and mount for the winch hawse and it
was good to go!

added some seat
side bars for extra protection, and some windshield verticle bars, side
gusset tubes and pcs to mount his bikini top to the cage.

since
he removed the windshield, he wanted a cowl pc to cover the void at the
dash, it came out pretty nice.
he had some fuel cell mods he wanted to do, making a remote fill welding in some compression ftgs and fabbing an alum heat shield underneath. now we're talking custom fab, oh yea! damn I love that cnc plasma!!!
added some fox
pneumatic bumpstops and landings in rear, limit strap tabs in front and
he was ready to go!!
alan has a very
nice rig! 1 tons, 351gt 40 fi, c6, 203 doubler, 4 linked...the list goes
on and on!! as you can see it flex's pretty good....it was great to work
on his rig, thanks man, see ya on the trails!!
